Into the Blue

for transdisciplinary learning

About

In this pilot proposal for higher education, the color blue is a starting point to explore the interdisciplinarity of knowledge and the relationship between art, science, technology, and humanities.

Teaching methods & learning activities

The course includes theoretical classes, creative exercises, and (wet) labwork.

Objectives and outcomes

The course aims to promote a multidisciplinary approach to problem-solving and a transdisciplinary view of topics, using the color blue as a case study.

Structure

The pilot course was designed to allow you to adapt it to your context (country, education level, field of study).

Program / contents

The course encourages students to explore different facets of blue in art, science, and society, looking not only at the past but also at the future.

Materials

We propose a series of materials, interweaving theoretical and practical, scientific and artistic contents and approaches.
